One of my dearest families . . . on so many levels, for so many reasons.
I have captured them on Kiawah Island for three consecutive summers now - when little Miss Lola Mae was still a bun in the oven. And it was EVERYTHING to me to have them in front of my camera in their hometown and in their HOME while they awaited the arrival of their second little cherub.
Pictures are so important. Alyson can testify to that. She teared up when we talked about it. And so did I. And then Derek walked into the room and looked at us and said “Are you crying?!?!” Lol. I mean, one of us was pregnant and the other of us is just a sap when it comes to anything sentimental. Sooooo . . .
But watching Alyson become emotional as she spoke about pictures is just one of the reasons I cherish this family and every chance I have to remind them, through pictures, just how incredible of a family they are.
Thank you, as always . . . Alyson, Derek, Lola Mae and now Finn Bearington . . . I cannot wait to meet you in June.
